Navigation:
there are a lot of different types of website navigations which are:

Hierarchical website navigation:

 the main structure of the website pages is being build by the simple and clear path to all of the website pages from anywhere on the website

Global website navigation:

It shows the top levels/bottoms of the website pages and sections, the global website navigation it’s available on all the website pages. Here is the example:

Local website navigation:
it’s a website links with the text of your website pages, when you press on the text/page it will open the other website page. Here is the example of the BBC website:

When I click on the ‘’home page’’ on the BBC website, then it opens the home page which contains the information & pictures.

Search Bar:

A lot of websites do contain the search bar which makes easier to find out the suitable information which the user needs. For e.g. almost all the shopping websites has search bars such as EBay & Amazon.

The user is able to enter the product name on the search bar and then he/she can choose the suitable categories to find their product quicker and then click on search button. After few seconds the list of the different types of products will show up:

 

How i have used web pages to help people access to the information

 

On my Wfish website I have used website pages which contain different sections about the fishes and fish care to help the user to access to the information easily.

Here is the print screen of my website global website navigation:

Also in the getting a new fish page there is three other pages (sections) which contains more information which the user needs , here is the print screen of the ‘’getting a new fish page’’

When the user press on ‘’getting a new fish button’’ in this page he will see three other different buttons which contains 3 blue arrows , every time the user will click on the ‘’blue arrow’’ it will open a new page which contains the information of the section which he have chosen to read.

For e.g. I am now going to click on the blue arrow which says setting up a new fish tank and here is how it looks after I have clicked on the blue arrow:
